Mount Kilimanjaro is the highest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world, rising majestically to 5,895 meters (19,341 feet) above sea level. Located in northern Tanzania, near the Kenyan border, it dominates the surrounding savannah.

Mount Meru is Tanzania’s second-highest mountain at 4,566 meters (14,980 feet), located inside Arusha National Park, just 70 km west of Mount Kilimanjaro. Known as Kilimanjaro’s little brother, it is a spectacular dormant stratovolcano.
